Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Thiruvananthapuram (IISER-TVM) is dedicated to scientific research and science education of international standards. Traditionally, teaching has been segregated from research in undergraduate science curricula in our country. IISERs were established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, to bridge this dichotomy. IISER-TVM started functioning in August 2008. The institute aims to provide high quality education in modern science, integrating it with outstanding research at the undergraduate level itself, and develop a spirit of research cutting across disciplines. IIM Amritsar

IIM Amritsar is the 15th Indian Institute of Management being set up by the Ministry of Human Resources Development with the support of Government of Punjab.

IIM Amritsar is being set up under the direction and mentorship of IIM Kozhikode, the 5th oldest IIM and one of the premier management institutes in the country.

The first program being offered by IIM Amritsar is the Post Graduate Program in Management. The program has been conceived to provide world-class management education to meet the requirements of enterprises across sectors by producing highly skilled management professionals. The first batch of students is being enrolled for the class of 2015-17.

IIM Amritsar Society has been registered on July 27, 2015.. IIM Amritsar Board of Governance & Society has been constituted on October 14, 2015
